Vamos is operated by Onno Blom ("we"). These terms are an agreement between you and us, and they apply to the Vamos apps for iPhone and Android and to vamos-app.nl. You must accept them before creating an account or signing in, and by using Vamos you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Vamos. Questions: hi@vamos-app.nl.
Vamos lets you tell friends you're heading out for a ride or run: you create activities, share routes, meeting points, photos and messages, and join other people's plans. Much of what you see in Vamos is content made by other users.
You need to be 16 or older to use Vamos. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information and don't impersonate anyone.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Vamos. This is not a formality: content or behaviour that crosses the line is removed and repeat or serious offenders lose their account. Objectionable content and abusive behaviour include, at minimum:
Filtering: Vamos automatically screens user-generated text against an objectionable-content filter before it is published.
Reporting: every activity and every chat message can be reported from inside the app ("Report"). Reports go straight to the moderation queue.
Blocking: you can block any user from their activity. Blocking hides all of their content from you (and yours from them) instantly, and notifies us so we can review the blocked account's behaviour. You can manage blocked users in the You tab.
We act on reports within 24 hours. When a report is justified, we remove the offending content and, where the rules above were broken, eject the user who provided it.
You keep the rights to the content you post. You give us the limited licence needed to store it and show it to the people your visibility settings allow, which is how the service works. You are responsible for your content and must have the right to share what you post — including photos of other people and routes you import.
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app (You tab → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — including immediately and without prior warning for the zero-tolerance rules above.
Outdoor sport carries inherent risk. You are responsible for your own safety, equipment and judgement when you meet people or follow routes found through Vamos. Vamos is provided "as is", free of charge, without warranties, and content posted by users is theirs, not ours. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to what mandatory Dutch law does not allow us to exclude.
We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change; the date above will change and material changes will be communicated in the app. Dutch law applies. See also our privacy policy.
